While Shani had come a long way from the unable-to-shift-back-to-human cheetah she had been less than six months ago, she still had issues with crowds and especially men she didn’t know. A shopping trip, even for groceries, could be a huge thing for her and drain her energy quickly. Sean didn’t want her to have to take care of the kids too.
“I’ll handle May and Jamie with Anton. June is old enough to behave by herself and she can help Lark and Shani too,” Jude said with conviction.
“Okay. Call to the new house and ask Lark. Then go wake up the kids,” Sean said, and to his surprise, Jude jumped up from his seat and circled the table to hug him tightly.
