Aiden was getting anxious by the time Tyrique dropped Glen off at their apartment building. There were a couple hours of daylight left, but it was still so hot outside that Glen didn’t want to risk adding further heat exhaustion to his potential mental stress.

Instead, he said to Aiden, “I really want a cool bath, but I would like something to keep me warm while I’m in there…”

“Hmm, quite a conundrum you have on your hands,” Aiden said. “Perhaps I should join you in your cold bath so we can brainstorm together.”

Glen grinned. “Just what I had in mind.”

They rarely used the bathtub in their shower. Neither of them had much time for a good long soak, and showers used less water anyway. Still, on days like this, when all they both wanted to do was relax and enjoy each other’s company, there was no denying that a cool bath was exactly what they needed. Aiden even fished a couple scented candles out of the linen closet to put on the sink.
