Time passed quickly and the would-be heroes along with some of the general studies students prepared for the arrival of the sports festival with great excitement, just like every year.
Doryoku didn't really have much to train, his quirk was simple but at the same time too complex, plus it was limited which made it even more difficult to use and apply.
But after thinking hard, Doryoku found some ways to better use it to win the sports festival.
And yes, Doryoku was aiming for the top this time definitely, after all, this was to help his mother.
Oboro was also very excited to see what Doryoku was capable of when he really pushed himself, having great excitement and anticipation for the arrival of the festival.
Aizawa and Hizashi felt the same way and also a little nervous, after all, the sports festival was the first step outside of the academy to be a hero.
And as for Azami and Mirai, they just want to participate, have fun, and maybe get on TV, like most students outside of the hero department.
Doryoku decided not to tell his mother about the prize because he was sure she would say something like 'Have fun Dory-chan, don't wear yourself out over something like that'.
In fact Doryoku hadn't even told her that he had already gotten over his trauma with his quirk since he didn't want to worry her, so there would probably be a lecture waiting for him when he return home after the festival.
And before all the students knew it, the day arrived.
——————
—————————
The day arrived and the general studies students waited for the order to leave from the class president, which was obviously Mirai who was voted almost unanimously.
They all wore their blue UA PE uniform with white lines just like the rest of the students at the festival.
Doryoku was a wreck of internal nerves just like always while sitting on a chair and resting his elbows on the table, but this time only his foot hit the floor quickly and impatiently as the rest of his body was prepared and tense.
"Suzuki-kun, you seem to be very nervous" Azami said sitting next to Doryoku with a nervous smile seeing the noticeable nervousness due to the tapping of his right foot.
Doryoku realized this and stopped, then took a deep breath and tried to focus.
Unlike always, this time Doryoku had a clear and concise goal, so his nervousness disappeared the moment he remembered why he was here.
"Thank you very much Wisteria-san" Doryoku said to Azami with a slight smile of appreciation, causing her to nod and smile in response as well.
And after a few minutes a great noise was heard outside and Mirai called the rest of the class.
"Guys, it's time to go out!" Mirai said excitedly as she gave the order to leave quickly.
Everyone seemed to have a bit of reluctance going out in front of so many people, except for Doryoku, who got up and walked out quickly full of determination followed by a confident Mirai for some reason.
Given this, the rest of the class followed them still with a bit of nervousness, and then they reached a large stadium surrounded by people cheering with great force.
"Yes my dear audience it is a pleasure to see you!" Mirai said enjoying the ovations without any kind of stage fright like the rest.
"And how do you see the General Studies classes C, D and E are also here!! I can smell the talent from here damn it fuck this shit!!" High command said as he recounted everything that happened with great passion and without a filter, causing some mothers to plug their children's ears before his bad words.
"High, remember this is a youth competition, refrain from bad language" said a short black hair hero (also known as Last laser by his hero name), along with High command with a serious and calm tone.
Doryoku looked up at them and noticed that the short-haired man was the same teacher he had the entrance exam with, then shook his head and focused again.
"Don't give me that Laser!! Without the support classes we would only be idiots in tights and without the general studies or business classes there would not even be a Japan to save! You all have talent and are important Never forget it!!" High command said quite forcefully and passionately to the rest of the students.

These words reached the rest of the students and gave them the determination to do their best, making the stadium much livelier and noisier.
After the stadium calmed down a bit and all the students were arranged in front of a podium, Ectoplasm arrived with director Nezu on his shoulders and stood in front of the microphone.
Director Nezu jumped off Ectoplasm's shoulders and stood in front of the microphone (which was very small) to begin his speech.
"Nice to see you all! It's me, the mammal with whom all people lose their bets when trying to guess his specie, but more importantly Director Nezu" said Director Nezu smiling adorably as he introduced himself happily.
There was a mix between respect and a feeling of pleasure in the presence of the director, making both students and viewers listen carefully.
"High command stole the words from my mouth, but I want to tell you that if you have the potential to be heroes and want to be, there is always one more place in the hero class and, do your best!" Director Nezu said as he raised his leg with excitement and anticipation causing the entire stadium to be filled with cheers again.
"And now like every year, the first place in the practical test will give some words" said Director Nezu in an adorable way causing the whole stadium to calm down again.
And as expected for Doryoku, the one who took the podium was Oboro, who seemed quite excited and confident even though Doryoku could see a bit of nervousness in him having known him for so long.
As they reached the podium, Oboro respectfully greeted the director and took the microphone to bring it closer.
"*Coff**Coff*" Oboro coughed clearing his throat and causing the entire stadium to go completely silent and expectant.
"A pleasure to meet you all I am Oboro Shirakumo!! I am not good with speeches but I can promise you that this festival will be very exciting as I am very excited myself!" Oboro said loudly and with great enthusiasm, infecting everyone present and dulling his own nerves.
"Give your best companions! Enjoy viewers! And Plus Ultra!!" Oboro said raising his right arm with a big excited smile.
"Plus Ultra!!!" viewers said totally excited and on the edge of their seats even before it all started.
Doryoku could only sigh and smile slightly as he saw his friend's innate ability to reach out to others, giving a thumb up in support.
Oboro returned the gesture and went back to his place so that then all the participants go to the starting line.
The sports festival normally consisted of three parts, starting with a race at the beginning as a simple method of selecting the best participants.
Following this, there was always a different game every year and this year it would be chosen by director Nezu, so something quite crazy was expected.
And finally the individual battles between students to choose the final winner of the festival, the most exciting part for most people.
All the people around were mostly cheering for the aspiring heroes obviously, leaving most of the other students behind even after all the words from High command and director Nezu.
All the students were in front of the starting line huddled together and waiting for everything to begin.
Doryoku was already an expert in how to deal with lots of people wanting to leave at the same time, after all the train was not always empty and he has been using it all his life.
Doryoku went all the way to the back so as not to be crushed when the race started, although he wasn't the only one who chose to do that, as Aizawa was also there with his typical sleepy expression.
"Apparently I wasn't the only one who thought about this" Doryoku said in a calm tone as he waited with Aizawa for the start of the race.
"I wasn't going to get caught between so many people, this is the best thing to do" Aizawa said with a tired tone as always as he flicked some of the bangs of his hair back for some reason.
Aizawa looked at Doryoku for a moment and decided to ask.
"From what I understand now you have a real reason to try hard right?" Aizawa asked Doryoku with a bit of curiosity making him turn to see him.
"That's right, I apologize if I'm too competitive when it all starts" Doryoku said apologizing in advance in case he got too intense.
Aizawa just shrugged casually, but there was one thing he wanted to check.
'To what extent does it make you better and does a clear goal matter to be a hero? I'm sure the best way to check it is to see how he performs' thought Aizawa looking at Doryoku for a moment and then focusing on the race.
Oboro and Hizashi were in front of everyone ready to start as well and thinking of various ways to escape the crowd when it all starts.
Mirai and Azami were also in the back of the crowd as they didn't want to be crushed by aspiring heroes like most general studies.
And when all the first-year UA students were calming their nerves and it seemed to be paying off, director Nezu spoke through his little microphone making everyone tense again.
"Remember, there are three obstacles before reaching the finish line and whoever gets to the end of the track first will be very important for the next competition" Director Nezu said mysteriously as the start lights came on so that no one could notice him.
The lights went from red to yellow, causing all the students to take up position to run quickly.
Doryoku flipped the switch on his bracelet seriously, Aizawa pushed his hair back, Hizashi cleared his throat, Oboro made small clouds with excitement and everyone was ready to go.
"Go aspiring heroes! Give your best!" Director Nezu said with a big excited smile as the yellow light changed to green.
And the first competition started, making all the spectators very excited and expectant.

What do you think about the history until now? Do you feel anything weird about the characters or are they ok? It would be interesting to know.
