"I'm Roxy Migurdia. It's a pleasure to meet you." she said.
A young girl who introduced herself as Roxy stood before the entire family. On one hand, she carried a bag, and on the other, she held a staff befitting a magician.
"..." Paul
"..." Zenith
Her rare blue hair surprised Paul and Zenith for a second. There was a superstition that the closer was a person's hair to the taboo color, Emerald Green, the more violent and unreasonable they were.
"Woah~ your hair is really pretty, oneesan." Breaking the silence Ralph made an innocent comment about Roxy's hair.
She paused after being complimented by her hair. "...Thank you very much." For Roxy, her hair was something she was insecure about coming into a Continent filled with Humans. Discrimination against Demons could be frightening. Especially for people with Millis faith, that just so happens to be Zenith.
And because of that Ralph gained Roxy's affection points, which earned an envious glare from Rudeus.
"Oh, uh, are... are you the home tutor?" Zenith finally asked.
"Aren't you a little, uh..." Paul managed.
Roxy let out a sigh. "So, where's this student of mine?" she asked, looking around.
"Oh, that would be our boy right here." Zenith replied.
Her eyes went wide, and she sighed once more. "Ugh, this happens sometimes," she muttered under her breath. "Kid shows signs of growing up a little fast and the damn parents get it into their heads that he's got a special talent."
"You say something?" Paul asked.
"Oh, nothing," she replied. "I'm just not sure that your son would be able to understand the principles of magic."
"Oh, don't you worry," Zenith said, brimming with motherly pride. "Our little Rudy here is brilliant!"
Yet again, Roxy sighed. "All right, then. I suppose I'll just have to do what I can." She sounded like she'd already decided it was futile.

Roxy gathered the boys in the yard for their first lessons.
"Okay, so this magic textbook here... Actually. Before we get to that, how about we see how much magic you can use?" Roxy says. "First, I'll demonstrate. Let the vast and blessed waters converge where thou wilt and issue forth a single pure stream thereof, Waterball!"
As Roxy chanted her incantation, an orb of water about the size of a basketball formed in her palm. Somehow Ralph had a bad feeling that was just about to happen. While Ralph was deep in his thoughts, Roxy hurtled the ball of water at high speed at one of the trees in the yard.
"Well?" Roxy asked. "What do you think?"
That smug grin on her face, Ralph's vein in his temples bulged in irritation. Her ignorance and obliviousness made Ralph about to throw punches at her, if only she wasn't a girl.
"What the hell are you doing?!" Ralph hurriedly dashed straight towards the broken tree. That dash was fast enough that he moved at a blinking speed.
"Eeeh?" Roxy was shocked by Ralph's outburst.
"My mom has always loved that tree and spends a lot of time caring for it, so I think she's gonna be pretty angry." Rudeus filled her in.
"Huh? Really?!" Roxy just realized how bad the situation is covering her mouth.
"Yes. And Ralph helps with gardening so he kinda got angry with you."
"Oh, that's not good." Roxy stammered, rushing over to the tree in a panic. "I have to do something about this."
"What are you doing you heartless brute?!" Ralph turned at Roxy coming the way. "Do you know how much effort Mom and I took care of this tree? How dare you come here and show your face."
"I'm really sorry," Roxy said. Understanding that Ralph was angry since he's just a little boy, she came resolved to face his anger. "I came here to fix it."
With a grunt Roxy lifted up the tree back into place. "Nngh... Let this divine power be as satisfying nourishment, giving one who has lost their strength the strength to rise again, Healing!"
With a warm green glow from her hands, the tree trunk miraculously attached back into place like it was never destroyed.
"Whew." Roxy let out a sigh.
"You can use Healing magic, too, Roxy?!" Rudeus surprised.
"Hm? Oh, yes. Anything up through Intermediate-tier spells."
"Oh, wow! That's amazing!"
"Oh, not at all! With proper training, anyone could do this." Roxy's tone was somewhat curt, but the corners of her mouth softened and her nose wiggled proudly.
Rudeus also gained Roxy's affection points.
While the two were in the middle of their dialogue, Ralph came to inspect the tree carefully until he was satisfied. He didn't think Magic could also restore a broken tree like this.
'I have to learn this magic.' Ralph swore.
"All right, any of you. You give it a try." Roxy said.
Grumbling under his breath still salty on just what happened, Ralph came back. He nudged Rudeus with his chin, "You do it first."
"Okay." Rudeus realized Ralph was in a bad mood, so he went first like he ordered.
Rudeus held out his hand and said the incantation for the magic spell for Waterball. Using magic without incantations for nearly a year he failed to recall the rest of the script, so Rudeus had to cut the incantations midway and activate the spell like he always do.
The basketball-sized Waterball struck its mark with a splash, the tree creaking and cracking as it fell over. Roxy fixed her gaze on this sight, her expression stiffening.
"You cut your incantation off, didn't you?" she asked.
"Yeah."
"Do you usually cut your incantations short like that?" she asked.
"I usually, uh... don't use them at all." Rudeus admitted.
"Not at all?!" Roxy's eyes were wide with shock and disbelief as she looked down at him. She quickly regained her composure, however. "Ah, yes, now I get it. That makes sense. Are you feeling tired right now, then?"
"A little, but I'm all right."
"I see. Well, the size and force of your Waterball was just fine."
"Thank you."
Finally, Roxy cracked a smile. And then she muttered to herself. "Maybe it is worth training this kid."
"You guys, did you just forget something important?" Right now Ralph's face turned into a wrathful demon bringing down his punishment. "I swear every single one of you... GRAAAAAAHHH!!"
Out of desperation, Ralph unconsciously summoned Mana within himself. His hand glowed with a soothing green light, and it fixed the tree back in its place just like what happened earlier.
"S-silent incantations? Two kids in the sticks knowing how to cast magic without incantations?" Roxy shocked by the reality of the two.
Though Rudeus had worked hard after countless experiments and hard effort, but Ralph's sudden ability to use magic without incantations was a phenomenon where a person exerts unbelievable power that was never thought possible.
Ralph came back, his eyes still narrowed fiercely. Particularly at the two magicians who were the culprit behind the destruction of his and Zenith's beloved tree.
"Do the two of you have anything to say, I wonder?" Ralph's words exerted so much pressure.
Roxy and Rudeus felt the air thickened, their breathing felt very heavy. Ralph's overbearing aura from that tiny body made Rudeus' survival instincts activate. Though Roxy took it better and just felt guilty.
"I'm really sorry Ralph." Rudeus.
"My apologies." Roxy.
That day, the terrified Rudeus swore into his heart not to do anything that made Ralph mad.
