“Look, Ralph. What you have done has compromised our family’s reputation. I don’t know why you’ve allowed yourself to be duped by this girl. How could you be so careless?” Reginald said, sympathizing with his younger cousin.

“Well, at least I now have the tapes. But it was at a tremendous cost to us, Ralph. You’re going to have to repay it. I’m sorry.”

“What? B-but… *Ah Gor*, that’s a hefty sum… I… I’m going to need some time.”

“Of course, of course, Ralph. C’mon, I’m not expecting you to pay up immediately,” Reginald said, tapping Ralph on his hand gently. “But there’s something I need you to do for me.”

Reginald’s countenance quickly changed, and he stared at his young cousin rather sternly.

“You’ll have to speak to your mother, Ralph. I know she wants to position you, but what she’s doing using the Cheng name is not good for the family. Do you understand what I'm saying?” he said, heaving a sigh as he waited for a reaction.
