Because of Jason, I completely forgot my original intention of coming to the infirmary. I had no choice but to contact Victoria by phone. 

I sent her a text, but her answer was simply disappointing. According to her, Aslan changed his number frequently and the number she had seemed to have been inactive for some time.

If it's like that, then I had to call Alex or Charlie. In the end, it still came to this. I shouldn't have gone to the infirmary today.

I thought about it and decided it might be better to call Alex instead of Charlie. If I told Charlie, Alex would come to know about it eventually, so there's no point in trying to hide it from him.

So that's what I did. I dialed Alex's number, and it didn't take a long time before the line got connected.

"Eirlys! It's rare to receive a call from you. Did something happen?"

From the way he talked, I seemed like a person who only calls when I needed something. I felt embarrassed.
