The night was dark, thunder and lightning were at full force and I knew it would be a gamble to fly in this sort of weather but I had to risk it. This may be dangerous but it was also the perfect scenario for a kidnapping and besides I no longer had any time left to waste.

All of it, I sighed, all of it was coming to an end.

Maya and Nena followed me out to the roof where I got a better assessment of the weather. The wind was strong and it could rain at any moment.

“Maya.” I turned around, “Wait for me in the forest. I’ll come straight there. Ask the Daryad to open the portal for passage.”

“Will it listen to me? I’m a human.” She was worried but I had no doubt about it.
