William and Coby were greeted by Fatty Jagger as they boarded the merchant ship.
" I'm ashamed to say that I did not recognize the mighty Pirate Hunter William even though we were sailing on the same ship " - Jagger
William just gave him a smile in response and introduced Coby to him. He also sold Alvida's pirate ship to Jagger for 12 million berri. William was happy with the amount as it was more than he had expected. It was nice to travel with merchants as they carried lots of cash with them.
The journey continued and three days later they finally docked at the port of Stone Island.
William had to admit that the island looked like it had nothing special. If William did not know about the various stones and ores which could could be mined here , he would find nothing special about the island which had only had one tall mountain in the middle of the island as landmark.
William stepped on the cobblestone path and walked forwards towards the foot of the mountain in the distance. The port village was bustling with activity as shop vendors sold different products to visitors. Jagger and his merchant team unloaded their products from the ship and started to transfer them into a small shop which was rented by Jagger.
William was of course not interested in their business and his contract with them was also over once they stepped foot on Stone Island. So he now did not have to protect them and could move freely.
William had already received 3 million bounty of Alvida from Jagger in cash. In fact in this world , it was not necessary for hunters to carry the corpse or captured pirate to marine base for collecting money. Anyone who came with the corpse or the pirate, could take the bounty after the relevant procedure of identification of the bounty was finished. Thus Jagger immediately agreed to William's request and sent two of his men along with Alvida's corpse to marine base on a nearby island.
Adding the money he had received for selling Alvida's pirate ship , William was very happy with the amount gained from the encounter which was worth more than 10 million berri. Coby had also agreed to move with Jagger and his merchant crew until they reached the kid's native island. Thus William was free now and immediately started heading towards the town located at the foot of the big mountain in this island.
The town was called Brick Town and was the place where houses of miners were located. Only few people knew that the seemingly peaceful town harbored East Blue's second largest base of Black Market underground the city.
William had recieved this information from the log of a shady merchant he had robbed some time ago. Naturaly William would not let this piece of information go to waste because he urgently needed some place to sell all the gold and silver accumulated from the thefts he had committed. The jewelry could be easily traced by the authorities if he sold them to shops in open markets. So black market was the best choice to sell them as nobody cared about the fact if the items were stolen or not here.
William arrived in front of the city gate in fifteen minutes but instead of heading inside, he took the left turn and stopped before a huge brown rock a few hundred meters away from the gate.
He searched for a while and found a metal door on the ground behind the huge rock. The metal gate was camouflaged using trimmed grass and dirt and wont be easily found if someone did not have the knowledge about its location beforehand.
William smiled and pulled the gate and saw the stairs leading down. He could not see the end of the staircase so the distance must be somewhat long. William was slightly impressed because they managed to dig such an establishment quite deep. They should have used many resources. Well it's not like shady people like them lacked money !
William slowly descended on the stairs and after three minutes finally his feet touched the ground. William could not help but BLINK his eyes in surprise because he never expected to see a big underground city.
Few meters away from William a tall gate was standing and the big board read " Base 2.4 ". Inside he could see many shops on left and right side while a more than 10 meter wide road was departing the two sides. The path was made of light blue stone slabs and looked very elegant. In short this place did not look like a shady place instead it looked like a city made for the rich.
Two guards were standing before the gate with no door and they had very menacing expressions on their faces. William just shrugged as he could feel aura of a fighter from them but it was too weak for him.
William released his bloodlust at them and smirked when he saw that their legs started wobbling. William stopped after two seconds as he was not here to cause any trouble today.
Anyway his purpose was fulfilled as the guards were totally intimidated by him and easily allowed him to pass through the gate. The guards would definitely pass information to their masters that William was very strong so William hoped that this would stop some foolish guys from messing with him.
William did not like this place one bit as he knew from the log that this place had a auction house where slaves were sold once during monthly auction. William despised the act of slavery so naturaly he would not make friends with people here.
If not for the purpose of selling gold and silver , William wont even step a foot in such a place except for the motive of robbing them. William liked that idea but not today as he was more excited to smoothly gain cash and buy Uchiha bloodline from system shop.
William was not stupid enough to enter this place in his original appearance. So he had disguised himself using transformation jutsu and looked like a bulky middle aged mercenary with huge intimidating scar on his forehead.
The road was quiet and almost all of the shop had their doors closed. They must be having deals as William could see from the lights through windows that the shops were open. The road was filled with all kinds of people. Some were dressed in noble clothes. Some were wearing light armors. While some were wearing casual clothes but they gave stronger pressure than the rest. Even so William was confident that except one, nobody would pose a challenge for him.
The one which William was wary of was westing a black tank top and dark blue pants. His muscles looked buffed giving the impression that he was most likely stong in close combat. He had blue short hair and blue eyes and tanned skin. He was also staring at William with wary expression on his face. William gave him a long glance then ignored the guy and started walking towards second last big shop in the left row. It had the sign of a jewelry shop and was build with colorful stone. William needed a shop precisely like this shop for today's big transaction.
