There were actually stairs at the end of the corridor. Driven by my strong curiosity, I continued to walk down.

The cell on this floor was dead silent. I carefully listened for a while and only walked forward after making sure that there wasn't any sound.

Suddenly, there was the sound of metal shackles colliding, followed by a violent cough.

"Mom, Mom, are you alright?" A voice asked nervously.

The coughing continued for a long time before it stopped. The heavy breathing could be felt.

"I, I'm fine. Help me sit up a little," a low and weak voice replied.

After a rustling sound, it calmed down.

I was about to walk over quietly.

Suddenly, I heard a low sigh. "I wonder how your sister is doing. Is she still alive?"

"Mom, don't worry. Although my sister doesn't know how to speak, she's smart and well-behaved. She'll definitely survive."
