Michiya continued spitefully, "When you declared your intention to kill the Gods, I was shaken by your resolve. I couldn't stop thinking about it. I asked myself, 'Why am I not horrified by her admission?' I should have been terrified! But instead…"
He trailed off in a quieter voice, "I was moved…"
I stared at him silently as if my eyes were opened for the first time.
He looked back at me with a smile, "I realized I too wanted the Gods to pay for the suffering they caused. So, I was willing to help you. I studied hard and worked until I coughed out blood. Yet, as I was pushing myself, you were out having FUN!"
I flinched and lowered my head.
He glared at me, "At first, I thought it was part of your plan. But then you became all chummy with that wingless brat! You even worked so diligently to make sure that the parentless orphan would be happy! You gave up so much just to bring back his sister! You only cared about him and his worthless existence."
