[Author's note: We are back to the present where Moao is being tortured.]

Raspy noises awoke me from my slumber. I looked around the room dazed and confused. It was only then that I realized the raspy noise was coming from my throat. 

With every breath, my throat ached. It felt like fire burning my throat and leaving only ash behind. I croaked painfully as I blinked to regain my senses.

One moment, I was in this prison cell.

The next moment, I was the man with bent bones that clicked and ached with every step I took.

I would be on that park bench with a forced smile on my face.

I would be in that barn, locked in like an animal with no food or water.

A hand lightly tapped my cheek, bringing me back to the present. A burnt face stood in front of me, smiling cruelly. Mona tilted her head slowly, "Where'd you go? I wanted you here with me."
