Chapter 42

I started Mushka on an IV hydration. I started doing a physical exam on her as we waited for our regional physician. I was looking for any bite mark or unusual scar that would suggest blood draw. Nothing touched her. She was clean. But at the back of my mind I knew something was deeply wrong with her. I knew she was being mind raped by a vampire who was never going to master the gift that Xe had bestowed upon him. 

She was sitting slumped on the winged armchair when she started winsing with the pain. She held her temple with both hands and gave a soundless scream. I could see her body trembling and unsteady eyes. It was as if she was having visual hallucinations. A very horrid visual hallucination. She was looking at the study's walls like there were monsters coming out andclosing in. She closed her eyes tightly. "It's not real." she started chanting.
