Yves, still holding Rosaline's hand, reached out to shake Ryley's hand. He didn't even bother to hide the fake smile on his face as he shook Ryley's hand. 

"Thank you for taking care of Rosie these last few days," he said, his tone tinged with forced politeness. Grimacing slightly, he quickly ushered Rosaline toward the long table. "Your Padre will pick you up later. Are you excited to meet him?" 

The genuine smile on Ryley's face slowly froze into a mask of confusion. 

He couldn't ignore the tension in Yves's handshake and the dismissive way he turned away. 

His eyes darted to Mitchell, silently asking for an explanation as he tried to make sense of the unexpected coldness from the Omega. 

Mitchell just pursed his lips and gestured for Ryley to follow, urging, "Come on, everyone has already settled in their seats!"
