Blackmail. Always the easier route. Of course, if the discussion fell through I would be the bad guy instead, so the risks are higher, but this was the best option we had.

"Let me give her a call." I said as I took out my phone from the waterproof pocket in my pants. But the moment I did so Akari looked at me strangely.

"What?" I asked when I saw her staring at me.

"You have Haruno's number?"

"Oh that, since I was helping her she gave her number for long distance communication. Nothing else." I hurriedly clarified, but it seems I was worrying unnecessarily.

"It's fine. I am not angry. It's just that I didn't expect her to give her number to someone who is going against her."

I then explained to her the whole lift episode that had happened at the mall which made her burst out laughing.
