章節 4: Chapter 4. Time skip to School and a Potential Friend
"Nris... enris... Fenris... come on sweetheart wake up, breakfast is ready". mum spoke with a loving tone whilst gently shaking me to wake me up.
"Mmmh, five more minutes". I mumble out with a groggy tone in my voice,
"Sorry pup, I know you aren't a morning person but today is your first day of school... Here, how about this if you wake up now I'll give you extra sausages, what do you think? eh?". mom bribed me with a smug and slightly arrogant motherly tone of voice, knowing full well that temping me with meat would work perfectly.
"Fine, I'll get up but there better be extra sausages". I groggily say whilst sitting up and stretching out my limbs.
"My little puppy eats a lot for his size doesn't he?". My mum says to me with an exaggerated tone.
"After I started taking advantage of the "photo nucleic" ability I started growing faster and gaining muscle rapidly but that's not the only thing that changed, my hunger has also increased massively that's right I have the legendary ability known as the bottomless stomach of the protagonist, meaning I can eat almost indefinitely, but we're not the most wealthiest family by any means but at the same time we're not the poorest family ether".
I slowly crawled out of bed as my mum walked out of my room to prepare our breakfast as I groggily look around my room, my room was painted a midnight blue colour and the roof was black with a galaxy and star mural, apparently my mum noticed my interest in the night sky and painted a mural of it on the roof, my bed had a paw print pattern on the pillow and a big paw print on the duvet cover if you haven't realised my mum enjoys painting, in fact that's what my mum does for a living painting murals and selling her paintings, it doesn't bring in a lot but it's enough to pay the bills and a little extra to waste on some novelty items.
I walk into the bathroom and quickly brush my teeth, wash my face and take a shower before getting dressed and walking to the living room which was attached to the kitchen.
"Good morning mum". I say as I yawn and rub the sleep out my eyes.
"Good morning pup, here's breakfast, are you exited for your first day of Elementary school?". mum spoke with tenderness in her voice as she placed down a plate almost overflowing with meat.
"Aye mum I'm looking forward to going to school (not really)". I say with excitement in my voice as I consume everything on the plate like an anime that's been starved for days.
"DONE! okay by mum I'm off, see you later". I yell as I run towards the door of our apartment.
"Don't forget to grab your bag on the way out!" my mum say's to me with a smile.
"OKAY, BYE MUM!". I shout back.
Running in the direction of the school as I think of "How I should act around the other people at school, I mean I'm a practically an adult in a 5 year olds body should I pretend to not know anything or should I come out as some sort of genius".
"Oh, looks like I arrived while still in my thoughts". I say under my breath as I look at the school.
"NEW STUDENTS!, THIS WHY TO THE ASSEMBLY!". a random teacher was shouting as he stood beside a set of open double doors leading into the assembly hall.
"He's really loud, anyways I'm quite nervous about this it's been awhile since I went too school". I think to myself as I pass the load man shouting at the top of his lungs.
"welcome to boys and girls to your first day at elementary school, my name is Mr Smith I'm the principle of this school, we hope you enjoy you time here, in a moment we will hand out notes about what classroom you will be in for the next 5 years". an old my spoke on the stage as he introduced himself and explained how the classes are distributed.
"Hello my name is Vanilla, Vanilla Woolly what's your name? Do you want to be friends?". a little girl sitting beside me said with a sheepish smile.
"Hmmm, it looks like she's not very good at interacting with people" I say in my mind as I reply.
"Fenris McLane, why do you want to be friends with me?, I'm not very sociable or approachable". I say with a confused expression on my face with a razed eyebrow.
(I should probably explain that at this moment I'm 5 years old and 5,5 tall, I'm the same size I was in my past life and I'm built and I mean built, clothes that would normally fit someone of my size are tight and show off my muscles and that's not all, messy dark green hair with short back and sides combined with bright almost glowing amber eyes that gives off a sense of danger to anyone that looks into them, in other wards I look life a buff delinquent)
"Well you look cool and you seem nice and I don't have any friends yet, so do you want to be friends with me?". Vanilla said with a shy blush.
"Strange, I guess we'll see what what happens". I say with a shrug.
"Does that mean y-you don't want to be friends?". Vanilla stuttered out with tearful eyes
"What? No, no, that's not what I mean I'm just saying tha..." I say as I wave my hands around trying to explain myself before looking down at the little girl who's lips where in a quivering pout and with large tearful eye's.
"okay, okay, lets be friends". I say with a strained smile.
"Yea! my first friend". Vanilla said dropping the "Aqua crying face" jumping up and hugging me.
"Damn was I just tricked, why do I have to have a weakness for crying girls". I think to myself with an exhausted sigh.
"Here". a random teacher said to us as she handed us a note with the classroom number we where in.
"So I'm in room 3, I wonder how many people there will be in 1 class". I think whilst going into a trance before being snapped out of it by the little girl beside me with an excited expression.
"We're in the same class isn't that great we can play together whenever we have time, I'm so excited, come on lets go and checkout the classroom, come on, come on". Vanilla said with an excited squeal whilst dragging me along with her towards the classroom.
