It had been forty-eight hours since Aiden had expressed his feelings to Hina. Two mornings and two nights went by with the summer breeze. Yet the warmth of his touch as his hands caressed her face so gently and the warm silky fluttering words he had muttered to her remained.

"You've truly made me the happiest man alive"

With that, he had exited the suddenly hot carriage, promising to write to her soon as they said their goodbyes. But his soon had been sooner than she had thought.

A letter had arrived for her the next morning, a beautiful awakening to remind her that what had transpired between them the evening before had not all been a dream.

"My lady, there's a letter from the grand duke here for you.." Suki, of course, had been the one to deliver the letter to her.
