"While Penny was in that parallel world, she spent a month married to another version of you. During that time on this side, I dealt with his real wife and all she wanted to do was go home. I don't know much about the situation but apparently they were childhood friends. 

"They both pretended to be the other while my alternate self and I worked to switch things back and my sister stupidly went and caught feelings for someone that was never hers in the first place. 

"That was why she wanted to avoid you as much as possible. I ran away with her that day at the beach at her request because she didn't want to see you, which is why I was a bit rude to you that day at the mechanic's. Sorry about that.
