章節 57: You Seem Different Lately

It took such a simple thing to make Roman happier. Getting a couple of pets and paying more attention to him was all it took. Penelope couldn't help but think that she was doing a better job as his wife than the woman he married was capable of. 

They had a lot of fun together this past week as they got used to life as pet owners. Joking around and playing with Arlo and Tilly made her happier than she could remember being in a while too. 

When was the last time she felt so carefree? Definitely before her father's death. Possibly even before he was diagnosed with cancer. 

Penelope was growing rather attached to this world. Her life here was so much better than she could have imagined the one back home being. Originally she thought that life here would be perfect if she didn't have to deal with Roman but she had changed her mind after spending more time with him.
