“The deal was to help each other out not force anything. I would rather go back to try my luck in the mines.” She was thinking of getting up from the bed and walking out of the room, but her leg was not listening to her.

“You might be able to survive then what about him?” Lais pointed to the door.

Rosa sighed but still looked at the prince. She did not know what to answer. She did not wish to serve the Ecruh in any army group, neither she wanted to put Egil in any danger. This was the first time she had to think of saving someone from the first and unlike the vatakku, there is no way she could just wing it on the way to escape. This was putting her in a dilemma.

‘Forget about that boy, you don’t need to think about anyone else other than yourself. However, think of the perfect life you will have under the prince.’ The shadow smiled.
