章節 2: A Fresh Start
Eric had woken up to the sound of Taillows, Pidgeys, chirping outside his window. it was 5 in the morning. Eric was still feeling like the past 15 years were just a dream and that he was going to wake up in his old bed, but knows that it's impossible for that to happen because he died saving a kid's life and was reincarnated into the world of Pokemon. With that in mind Eric grabbed his backpack which he had packed all of his travel gear and clothes. For today is the day Eric gets his starter pokemon.
Eric hurry up. Your father's going to leave without you.
I'm coming mom. sheesh, I just need to find- aw there it is!
Eric pull an old staff out of his closet and almost falls over.
Alright, now I can go.
Eric, what's going on up there!? It sounds like your fighting a Rattata up there!
No, I just found the last thing I wanted to bring with me and it got stuck on some of my old clothes.
Well are you still going, or did you change your mind and decide to stay?
Eric runs down the stairs to the front door where his mom and dad were waiting for him, along with his grandpa.
Mom I think you know my answer to that. You know I've been waiting for this day all year.
Ok, but remember to call home as soon as you get your starter. Okay young man!?
Yes, mom I will and I dont think dad will let me forget either.
Alright son let's get to the bus before it leaves to Slateport or we will have to reschedule you appointment to get you starter.
Now Eric remember what I taught you about being in the wild, and always keep your wits about you!
I will and thank you grandpa.
And with that Eric and his dad leave the house before Eris mother could break down in tears again, for that's why Eric missed his last 4 appointments. On the way to Slateport Eric noticed that there was so few people on the bus compared to when his family would go to visit his cousin in Petalburg.
Hey dad?

Did we beat out the morning rush or are we running behind?
A little of both. Cause we need to be at the pokemon center for orientation and to sign in so you can get you starter by 7:30, so we're cutting it really close.
How close dad!?
Like 5-10 minutes before they close the sign in window, type close.
DAD!!
What! You where still asleep and I know what happens when someone wakes you up this early in the morning!
Fair enough. But still couldn't you have signed me up for the afternoon one?
Nope! That was booked till Friday.
Ok.
And 1 hour later Eric and his dad arrive in Slateport at the pokemon center almost 20 minutes before the sign in window closed.
