The cute red fox moaned in its sleep as Aizen knelt next to its bed and gently scratched under its jaw.
It already had six fluffy tails, and the Orayen Prince gently combed them with his fingers, sensing the heat inside them.
He could tell that the vulpix was nearly six months old and had matured a month and a half ago.
The heat inside its tail was not enough, and normally, it would take it over three years to gather enough Fire Energy to evolve. However, with the aid of Fire Stone, there was no need to wait for that long.
"Vul..." The Pokémon drowsily opened its eyes, and at first, it leaned its head into Aizen's comforting palm, enjoying the scratches, but when it finally saw the unfamiliar face, it panicked and jumped off its bed. "Vulpix vul!"
Anira giggled at its cute reaction, and both Zane and Suzie were smiling as well.
The fact that Vulpix had not tried to attack Aizen the moment it saw him was already good news.
"Xeno, this is Aizen. The one who will take you out to explore the world and fight lots of Pokémon." Zane walked over to the small fox and introduced the violet-eyed boy to it.
"Vul..." The Pokémon asked Aizen if what the brown-haired boy was saying was true, and the Orayen Prince nodded his head.
"Yes. If you want to explore the world and grow stronger, come with me." He gently said and drew his hand forward.
The fox hesitated a little before it approached him and sniffed his hand. It was soon followed by a lick, and seconds later, Vulpix was enjoying the scratches under its jaws as small floating wisps of flame escaped its tail.
"Wow." Suzie was really surprised now. "I will be honest, I was half expecting it to use its Extrasensory on you and smack you away. That's what it usually does, even to us."
"Really?" Aizen asked the cute fox, who denied her words with a flat face.
Of course, he knew that the fox was lying, but it was all out of innocence.
Curious at Suzie's words, he proceeded to inspect Vulpix's Psychic Focus and was pleasantly surprised to see how solid it was.
"Here's the list of moves that he already knows." Zane pulled out his cell phone and showed him Vulpix's data.
[Moves Known: Ember, Tail Whip, Baby-Doll Eyes, Quick Attack, Hypnosis, Captivate, Flame Charge, Incinerate, Will-O-Wisp, Flame Burst, Flamethrower, Heat Wave, Extrasensory.]

Aizen went through everything, including the diets that Vulpix liked and had been raised on.
Even Anira was surprised when she curiously looked at the information, and when she raised her brow at Zane, the boy smiled at her.
"I would have never given him away, no matter the price offered, had Xeno not been the way he is. The life he desires can not be offered by me. I am a Pokémon Breeder, and he needs a Champion Trainer who can help him live up to his potential."
It was clear that Zane was still uncomfortable with the idea of losing such a treasure. However, he was willing to let go because he could not be selfish and waste Vulpix's potential. He was too kind of a person to do such a thing even though he was a businessman.
"Also, Xeno doesn't even like me." The boy laughed off his restlessness, and Vulpix arrogantly turned its face away.
"Vulpix vul..."
Aizen chuckled as he learned why Vulpix did not like Zane.
The boy had once tricked him into grooming and cutting its hair, hoping that it would like it, but Vulpix hated it and never forgave him.
"You can purchase this Vulpix, but there is a clause that we hope you would agree with." Suzie suddenly said, and the Orayen Prince guessed what it was about. But he did not say it.
"Yes?"
"We request you to send it over from time to time, whenever it is feasible."
And sure enough, it was related to Breeding.
"My apologies, I can not do it." He shook his head. "We both know that Ninetales are very attached to their mates. If it gets attached to a female at your farm, then it will lose its focus and fall into depression whenever it has to stay away from her and his other mates for a long time."
Both Suzie and Zane sighed at his words and nodded their heads.
"Please, excuse us. We need to discuss some things over." The brown-haired boy walked out of the room with his girlfriend to discuss something concerning their deal, and Leaf became a little restless.
"What if they decide to not sell Vulpix to you?" She worriedly asked.
"That's not what they are discussing." Aizen shook his head and picked Xeno up in his arms. "Who do you like the most here?" He asked the Fox, who was quite elated to learn that he could understand what it was saying, and so, it started telling him what he wanted to know. "Is that so?"
Both Aizen and Anira were giggling after the fox's rant, and though it kept saying that everyone was annoying, it still fondly spoke about a certain Vulpix.
"Vul..." And the Pokémon in question suddenly entered the room from a small door, and then it stretched its body before happily jumping into Anira's arms and licking her face.
"Aww..." She gushed over it, recognising it as the same Vulpix from whom they had met at Suzie's office, and then the two foxes started chatting with each other.
Xeno excitedly and proudly informed the Vulpix that it was leaving to explore the world and battle Pokémon, and both Aizen and Anira sensed the restlessness in the younger Vulpix, who only had three tails right now.
"Vulpix!" It got a little angry, and Xeno suddenly turned very quiet.
The Orayen siblings both put down the two Pokémon and sure enough, the older one approached its younger sibling and started licking her pelt, showing its affection.
"Vulpix vul..."
"Vulpix..."
The two had a very lengthy and sad conversation, and Aizen finally understood why Zane and Suzie were troubled when he refused to let Xeno come back to the farm from time to time.
"He has already imprinted on her," Anira informed her friend, who was very confused about what was happening, and Leaf blushed at her words.
"Oh..."
When Suzie and Zane entered the room, they both sighed as they watched the two Vulpix huddled together, but then the teal-haired girl smiled.
"There are some changes to our deal, and you can not refuse them if you want Xeno." She made her stance very clear. "If you want to take Xeno, then you will have to take Xena as well. The two Vulpix will cost you 1,000,000 Poké Dollars. Additionally, when the two will have their Children, we will take one male Vulpix."
"I hope you understand that giving up on the two of them is a great loss to us." Zane politely said, hoping that he would agree, and Aizen finally nodded his head.
"Alright. We have a deal." He agreed.
For the next hour, the group stayed at the farm as the contract was drafted and then they allowed the two Vulpix some time to say goodbye to their parents, the two Majestic Ninetales, who were seemingly not bothered about the idea of parting ways with their pups.
Anira laughed as Xena licked her face and neck from time to time, and unlike her brother, she had no interest in the surroundings and the crowd.
The Orayen siblings knew that the two Vulpix felt so attached to them not just because of their Aura, but also because they were Psychics as well. It was incredibly easy for Psychics to bond with Psychic Type Pokémon, and this bond was very beneficial to both parties.
"Excuse me!"
Suddenly, someone called out to them, and they stopped to turn around.
They watched as an Officer Jenny and two Constables rushed over.
"It's unsafe to keep Pokémon out in the city. May I see your Licences?" She asked as she glanced at the two Vulpix in their arms and the Floette, who was resting on Leaf's head.
Aizen smiled at her and handed her his licence.
Whatever Jenny planned to say next never came out of her mouth, and she apologised to him for taking their time. She hoped that they would understand that it was part of her job, and the Orayen Prince told her not to worry about it.
After a pleasant exchange of words, the group continued towards the Pokémon Center, where Aizen made space on his Roster for the two Vulpix.
Anira had already claimed Xena as her Pokémon, and he had no issues with it. He was happy that she finally took a liking to something and claimed it.
At the Center, Leaf registered them for tomorrow's Gym Battle as well. And then they all retired to their suite to introduce the two Vulpix to their Pokémon.
