Aleister looked out of the window, a distant look appeared in his eyes. 

Was her question that difficult to answer? Esme could not help but wonder. 

But now that she thought about it, certain things have always been mysterious about him, be it his powers, his pricky personality, or his nonchalant attitude towards his father. And even Leo's existence. 

Just when she thought he won't answer her, he turned around to look at her, ''I was sent somewhere far away.''

Esme wanted to ask more about it but she decided against it when she saw the expressions on his face. Something told her that she won't like the truth and she was not ready for it. 

Aleister walked towards her and tucked the loose strands of her hair behind her ear, ''What did you have in mind?''

"Huh?'' Should she just go along and ask him where he was at that time? Who sent him away?
