William decided to use the servant's entrance from Beatrice's bedchamber. It had been a few days since her hysteria had hit. He knew his duty was to soothe her. He was thankful she only wanted his embrace and not his sex. He had his heart set on a sexy auburn that worked at the local tavern. 

He had left before dawn to not arouse suspicion. William glanced over his shoulder once he lit a candle in the narrow, dimly lit hallway. He knew this was too early even for the servants. He descended from the narrow stone stairwell that opened up to the kitchen. As he had suspected, Cook was nowhere to be found. 

William made it out of the castle undetected and headed to the stables as quickly as possible. William strode into the stables. He found his stallion and quickly prepared him for the journey. With the ease of a Knight, William mounted his horse. Once he was situated, William made a low clicking sound, signaling the horse to move, and they were off.
