章節 15: 15-The Monster Trial
The Warp Field slowly enveloped the Whole Area around the Preservation Shuttle. The Monsters were included and were protected by the Warp Field. Rogue nodded after noticing Typhon's nod and looked at the Hero-Type Monster. She was curious about what she needed to do about the Monster Army, but before she could continue with her daydream. The Hero-Type Monster spoke about something bad.
*My Comrades aren't accepting of your Offer. They may not be as intelligent as me, but they choose who they follow. The only thing the Hivemind does is to shape our Will into one. If I controlled them forcefully, that would mean that they are listening to me but not to you. The only way for them to accept you is to fight them and show them that you are the one that dominates.*
"I can understand what you are trying to say but will you join them in a fight?" Rogue asked while stretching her body. The Hero-Type Monster shook its head and spoke. *I have already accepted you as my Master. There is no need for me to fight.* Rogue nodded after hearing the Monster's words. Within this Virtual World wasn't the Monster's body. It was their Mind or Consciousness that Rogue would need to fight.
"Typhon, Give me a good sword," Rogue ordered as Typhon created a Beautiful Slick Sword on the spot. Rogue looked like a Little Girl fighting against Gigantic Monster. Rogue could use technology to beat them, but she had another thing in mind. She wanted to have a sparring partner where she could destroy them as she pleased. Typhon gave the Sword to Rogue as the Monster Trial began.
"I have learned many fighting techniques, but my body is still weak." Rogue looked at the Hero-Type Monster. The Monster stared at its Comrades and nodded. *The more you kill, the stronger you become. Just like a Monster...* The Monster said with its Ancient and Distorted Voice. Rogue smiled after hearing such words. This might be hard to complete, but it was still better than nothing. It has been a while, and Rogue wanted to test her skills on real enemies.
Rogue remembered the Techniques deep within her heart and looked at the Monsters with Battle-Harden Eyes. All of her Past Life Memories as an Emperor echoed deep within her Conscsiouenss. The Nations she conquered, The Cities she burned, and the Corpses she stepped upon. Rogue wanted her former Battle Personality to come back. The Old Rogue who conquered his Last World.
The Monsters looked at Rogue in the distance. No matter how they look at Rogue. She was still a child. Even the Monsters knew such a fact, and they couldn't help but underestimate Rogue. The Monsters then looked at the Monster near Rogue and signaled him to attack. The Monsters only attacked in Hordes when they feel the Enemy was too Strong, but such feelings never occurred with Rogue.
The Monster ran towards Rogue at a fast speed. It wanted to pounce on Rogue and end it as fast as possible. Rogue looked at the Monster as she calmly dodges and let the Monster passed through her. She already had her Sword pointed at the Monster, and she lets the Momentum does its thing. The Battle Ended in a Moment. Rogue was still alive and stood carefully upon the Wasteland while the Monster was dead on the ground.
Typhon looking at the Battle from afar, had a proud smile plastered on her face. It was the First Battle of Rogue, and seeing Rogue handling the Battle calmly made Typhon Proud. Rogue sighed and looked at the Monsters from afar. She pointed her sword at them and signaled them to attack her. She had a feeling that she got stronger when she killed the Monster. It was a strange feeling, but it would help her in Battle.
The Monsters understood that the Little Girl in front of them wasn't to be underestimated. That must be the reason why their General chose to follow the Little Girl. The Monsters looked at Rogue with the expression to pound on her until only bits of her Meat would be left. Rogue smiled and began a Sword Stance. It was an Intermediate Fighting Technique.
'The only way to win the fight is to dodge them and attack them.' That was the only thought within Rogue's mind. It was clear that she needed to attack and dodge. If she tried to block the monster, she would probably lose her rhythm, and the Monsters would have a chance to destroy her. The Monster Horde then charged towards Rogue. They had a Normal Formation, and some of the Monsters circled Rogue.
'They are taking me seriously...' Such thought passed within Rogue's mind. It seemed that she needed to be serious and cautious. The Monsters were taking her as a strong opponent. Their Teamwork would probably give her a problem. The First Wave of Monsters began its attack and was near Rogue. Rogue calmly used her Sword and dodged the Monsters. She slashed through their bodies and killed them.
Many Monsters then began their Attack, and Rogue was forced to dodge each of them. She was moving calmly and only dodged the Monsters' attacks by hair. It was clear that she needed to kill them before their Attacks gets faster. She slashed her Sword through the Monsters belly, and Blood began to splattered upon her body. One of the Monsters appeared right behind her as she dodged the Monster ambushed and pointed her sword towards it.
All of the Monsters around Rogue were dead, and her Sword was bloodied. She lost her White Silver Hair was it was full of the Monster's blood. She looked around and found many monsters circling her. They were Twice the Number of the Last Monsters. She might not handle them, but it was time to implement the techniques she learned. After killing many monsters, Rogue's body within the Virtual World got stronger.
"It's time for Round Two," Rogue said with a cold voice while pointing her bloodied sword at the remaining monster. She was smiling for no reason. She felt like she was in a Battle in her Old World. She was surrounded by Enemies and needed to kill all of them to escape. The Old Her was returning the Battle-Junkie Rogue was slowly appearing within the Battlefield.
The Monsters began charging for the Second Time and began to use everything they got against Rogue. Some Monsters were Melee Focus, but Some were Range Focus. The Range Monsters fired some weird plasma that slices through the Air. Rogue noticing the Plasma, used the Melee Monsters right beside her as cover. The Plasma pierced through the Monster's body, and the Monster died.
'They can use projectiles... This makes the battle harder.' Rogue thought as a Monster claw passed her neck. She slashes her Sword towards the Monster and cuts its arm off. The Monster shrieked, and its voice echoed all over the Battlefield. Rogue quickly pierced through the Monster's head and killed it. She looked around herself and found herself surrounded by Monster bodies. She already killed all of the Monsters that tried to attack her in melee.
Rogue stared at the Range Monsters from afar. 'That was easy...' Rogue smiled while stretching her bloodied body. She might need Typhon's help to eliminate the blood all around her body, but she needed to finish the battle first. "Was that all you monsters could do?" Rogue's voice echoed in the Wasteland. The Hero-Type Monster smiled and spoke with its Ancient Distorted Voice. *Master, Have you forgotten that there are Billions of monsters in my Army.*
The Metamorphosis has already begun. Their Monster bodies already broke down and fused all around the Preservation Shuttle. The Warp Field had a Dozen Kilometre distance of influence, so Billions of Monsters managed to Metamorphosize themselves all around the Preservation Shuttle for Protection. Hearing the Hero-Type Monster voice, Rogue looked at the distance.
There were hordes of Monster heading towards her. They were charging together and seemed to plan on overwhelming Rogue with numbers. Seeing numerous Monsters charging towards her, Rogue just smiled and began running towards the Horde. The Number she could see was beyond millions, and there would probably be more Monsters attacking her. She charged towards the Monsters as she didn't want to be cornered.
Rogue and the Monsters got closer and closer. It was then they began attacking each other. Rogue slashed through the Monsters with a smile plastered on her face. She was getting stronger at a fast speed that was almost addicting. Although it was just within the Virtual World, It was still a good feeling for Rogue. She could hear her beating heart echoed all over her body as her hand was shaking from overusing the sword.
Rogue found herself in the Center of the Monster horde fighting with everything they got. She would sometimes use the Monsters as Covera gainst projectiles while sometimes using the Monsters as stepping stones. She was concentrated on the fight and with the fighting techniques within her knowledge. She could execute them without fail and use them easily. Mastering them would be another problem, but the Monster Trial would solve it for her.
*Master is smiling when fighting against a Horde of Monsters alone in the Wasteland.* The Hero-Type Monster was surprised at what it was seeing. The Crazy Smile plastered on Rogue's face signifies that she was enjoying the battle. Rogue wasn't fighting for survival. She was fighting for enjoyment. The Hero-Type Monster couldn't help but feel that it chose the right master.
*Are you sure she is a Krieg? She might be a Monster in a Krieg Body.* The Hero-Type looked at Typhon, who was right beside it. Typhon, who heard the Monster smiled proudly and spoke. "You monsters have forgotten that the Krieg is a Warlike Race before being a Pacifist. My Master is the Image of the Old Krieg that enjoyed Wars." Hearing what Typhon said, The Monster was in silence.
Rogue was still fighting against the horde alone. She sometimes would almost get killed by the Monsters, but fortunately, she would always dodge their attacks. Rogue was full of monster blood all over her body. Her Sword was Blood Red in Color. She slashed through the Monster. She looked at the Monster near her and wanted to kill it. She charged towards the Monster while pointing her Sword towards it, but a problem appeared. The Sword slipped from her hand. Her only weapon fell and was far away from her.
Typhon and the Hero-Type Monster shook their heads after seeing Rogue losing her only Weapon. All of the Monsters were frozen, but they quickly realized that it was a good time to attack. Rogue lost her weapon, but she still had her Limbs to used. She was probably a lot stronger than before, as she killed many monsters before losing her weapon.
The Monster charged towards the Weaponless Rogue. Rogue quickly punched the Monsters that tried to attack her. She kicked them and punched them without stop. She used her Fighting Techniques that focused on Weaponless Battle. It was useful against Monsters, but some Monsters wouldn't die after punching them once. It was a Problem as Rogue found herself charged by the Monsters in all directions.
"Fuc-" Rogue got devoured by the Monsters. She died getting her Limbs torn apart and her Flesh eaten by the Monsters. It was a horrifying death that no one would dare to try. Rogue lost her first try in the Monster Trial. The First Lost Death was something horrifying to see. Even the Hero-Type Monster couldn't help but avoid it. Its comrades were really merciless.
"It's time for Round Two." Typhon and the Hero-Type Monster could hear a Soft Voice behind them. They looked back and saw Rogue smiling towards them. That Smile was sinister as Rogue was hell-bent on giving her revenge against the Monsters. No one would die in the Virtual World, and the Monsters that Rogue killed appeared once again. Typhon and the Hero-Type Monster had one thought within their mind.
'Crazy Battle Junkie...'
