Staring at her cousin intensely, Sussane asked, "Since when did you become so sensible?"
Shrugging his shoulders, Athan answered, "I was always wise."
"I heard that you are going back again."
Scrunching his brows, he asked, "Who told you that?"
"Well, though I am away from home, I know everything." Without waiting for his reply, she asked, "So tell me, are you going back on your own or Adrian convinced you to return?"
"First of all, I don't know who told you this but it's not true. Second of all, I am going back but not forever. I will just drop by every now and then to fulfil my duties," he answered.
"He wants you to find a mate?" When he nodded his head, Sussane chuckled, "Well, Adrian also told me the same when it was my time. But when I told him I loved Arnold, he never bugged me over the mate thing ever again."
"Why would he?" Athan scoffed. "Your unexpected marriage alliance with Arnold gave him hope."
