The Imperial Castle of Alpha was silent.

It wasn't devoid of life by all means. Maids and servants were moving through the corridors, guards were patrolling the parameters, ministers and nobles who had taken refuge inside the castle were still around... yet, it was eerily silent.

The morale was extremely low, with many guards having deserted the army to escape to Arzen via the no man's land in between the two countries.
