The splash of water around me awoke me. I gasped as the cold liquid touched my hot body and watched the steam come out of it. Then Lucas followed suit, holding me as he relaxed his head on the prominent edge of the large bathtub.

I shivered like the last leaf on the lonely winter tree, finding warmth from his arms and bare chest. I was totally out of my mind as I found comfort in them instead of pushing them off for what he had done to me.

He brought my wet braided hair to the front and started to unwind the tangled strands. I felt too weary to move a finger so I quietly sat with my head against his muscled chest, watching his fingers work slowly yet effortlessly.

He ran his fingers down my hair, brushing them like a comb would, and then massaged the back of my head. I moaned softly as I felt him release him from the stiffness. He chuckled and kissed my cheek, tracing a finger along my jawline.
