"Ethan, have you ever thought of me as a friend? How did you have a heart to break us both so that you could be with her?" Aiden asked. 

The timing matched. 

Not very long after Ethan left their house, Anna broke up with him. So, Aiden couldn't help but assume that Ethan used some dirty tricks in order to make Anna do it. 

By then Ethan was already in charge of half of the Keller's family. It was not a  difficult task for him to control Anna's surroundings. 

"Hey, don't blame me for things I didn't do. I was not the one who broke up with you. It's her." Ethan laughed. 

"And, your breakup doesn't have anything to do with me," he added. 

Yes, it has nothing to do with him. 

What he did was to simply inform Xander family that Anna is the direct descendant of Xander family and has a crescent birthmark on her.
