"Woah." I had arrived at the ghost town in City Z, and I could already see several destroyed areas from where I was.
I might only be able to do this much damage if I killed myself using my weird powers. I should honestly give my powers a name so I can stop calling them weird powers.
I'll call them dream powers for now.
I jumped over the fence fairly easily, the fence was mostly a suggestion since it wasn't even barbed or electrified to prevent people from going over.
Not that either of those things would have stopped me.
I wandered throughout the ghost town. Random bouts of damage everywhere, some phone lines still had the buzz of electricity coming from them, and damaged pipes still let water leak from them.
"I wonder if I could move in somewhere around here. Electricity and water both work still, and there wouldn't be a need to pay bills since there isn't anyone around to have you actually pay them, not to mention no normal person would willingly enter this ghost town." I talked to myself out loud.
This area was abandoned anyway, so one of my habits came to light.
I looked around the area, but, like the name suggested, it was a ghost town. Not even monsters around here. Or if they are here they aren't anywhere that I have been looking.
I started dashing around the place with footwork that Bang taught me. He had also told me to drop the master title when he was teaching me, because I was one of two students left.
Not that Charanko did much. He was pretty much a janitor at this point, but he did try sometimes, mostly when I was there. He would also try to brag to me how good he was, but I wasn't really buying it.
He probably likes me, but there are many issues that I won't go into, that prevent me from ever liking him.
Honestly, looking at broken buildings and finding nothing had me pretty bored, so I was going to head off toward a different city. The ghost town was fairly close to City B, so I suppose I'll go there for now.
I'll probably come back in the future to move into this area since it just seems like free shelter.
I'll have to find a place that isn't partially destroyed though, I would prefer my buildings fully insulated.
I then ran toward City B, why am I heading there? Boredom mostly. Bang had to end his lessons early today since he had been called in about a threat in City X, which he was fairly close to, and since there were no S class heroes in City X, he would have to deal with it.
Not a monster or anything, but more of a motivation as a tsunami had hit City X a few days ago and they were still recovering. Some of the tsunami had also hit a bit of the southern part of City Z as well, but nearly no one lived there since it was far out from the main city area.
I arrived in City B, a little tired. I had run the whole way to the city and didn't account for the fact that every City Block is massive. I rested in the entrance of an alleyway that was empty and surprisingly clean.
"Hm?"I noticed a human shaped shadow at the end of the alleyway, it was slumped and not moving, not even breathing. So it was either a corpse or just a bunch of junk that looks like a human for some reason.
I was going to check it out either way.
I kept resting for a bit while staring at the human figure, but still couldn't figure it out. What's with alleyways being so dark in broad daylight around here?
The sunlight flows into them, but then it's cut off by darkness itself. So strange. According to what I know about light, that shouldn't be possible, it's like the air itself is tinted.
That doesn't matter for now I suppose. Just something I noticed.
I approached the figure and as I did, light seemed to move in with me.
A metallic humanoid figure appeared in my vision. It had some aspects that looked like skin, but there was too little of it to tell. It was missing half its right leg and had wires coming out of it.
"Some kind of robot?" I mumbled while studying it.
It looked extremely well made, if it was ever functional. It could be a prop, but the metal is too heavy to have it just be a prop. Even just lifting one of its arms, I can feel a decent amount of weight. With my current superhuman strength, that is a lot.
Now that I look at it, the wall behind it is cracked. Did something or someone smash it into the wall? For what reason?
So many questions that I ask myself for no reason.
I heard a strange sound, akin to a vacuum powering up, or like a muffled buzz saw? I looked around for the source of the noise, but found a blue light shining from in front of me.
Looking at the source of soft blue light, what I could only assume was a robot was turning on. I could hear several beeps coming from the head, followed by some static.
Not entirely sure what the static was, but the robot now had its mouth open.
It looked up at me, showing me its face in full. I would have checked earlier by tilting the head up, but something I am very aware of, is to never touch anything that looks like a body.
I don't want something suddenly waking up and scaring the shit out of me.
As my eyes met the robot, it's blue irises glowed against it's black eyes. It had a feminine face from what I could tell.
As I stared, the robot opened its mouth again, and an ear piercing screech came from it like it was trying to force sound through a metal pipe, which it probably was.
The screech was followed by static as the robot stood up shakily.
With my strange sixth sense, I could feel where an attack was about to come from, and I knew I was going to have to fight whatever this robot was.
Or at least I thought I would.
"I thought I had already dealt with you." A warped voice came from behind me. It sounded like someone talking on a bad microphone.
I turned and saw another robot, maybe a cyborg? It had one red eye on the center of its face, covered by a mask with three slits at the bottom. It had crazy hair that didn't seem groomed in the slightest. He was nearly as tall as I was.
He placed a large black box beside him as he stared down the robot that was about to attack me.
"Drive Knight?"

A/N: Things clicked unlike last chapter. So this one is a higher quality in my opinion.
(Except the beginning, but I realized a little too late that I had my plans backwards lol)
Woah, another character that I like. I mostly like his character because his forms are based off of shogi pieces and I like that sort of aesthetic.
