Celestia's POV:
I was so distracted by Lilin's fierce Ruby eyes that I didn't notice when she was about to stab me with her long-hilted spear. Theo snatched away the spear from her hand and dropped it on the red sand.
That was a close one! I could have been stabbed. Where did my warrior instincts go? Lilin wasn't able to control her laughter after that. "Didn't I tell you? She is weaker than a lame white witch from your realm. And you people believe that she is the Dawn."
I tried hard to ignore her demeaning comments for that long only because Theo told me to do so. But I can't contain my resentment anymore. I clenched my fists together as my breathing got heavier in anger.
"Princess Lilin, you have no right to judge me. I am the Dawn, and I am the most powerful entity in all three realms," I screamed at her.
Theo quietly stepped away from me, but I didn't care about that. All I wanted to do now was to burn Lilin with my Golden sparks. I lifted my hands and yielded the golden flames in my palms.
The Demon Princess took a step away from me and shut her eyes. She is probably going to use her Enochian tongue to summon monsters here. I am not going to let her do that.
I hit her with my sparks, but she was not a bit harmed. It looks like she has established a shield around her. But shields can be broken too. I tried to yield more and more energy from my body.
But so far, I was able to yield only my Fae powers. Just when I was thinking about giving up, I heard Theo's voice in my head. 'Celestia, don't have any self-doubts. Forget who you are right now, and just feel the force.'
His instructions gave me immense courage. I am not Celestia the Fae Warrior anymore. I am an Angel with boundless potential. I stuck Lilin again with my sparks while she was still enclosed within the shield.
I noticed that my sparks were bright yellow flames now. They have never been this much brighter. My flames broke Lilin's shield, and it hit her.
Lilin wailed as she fell on the red sand. I did it! I was able to defeat the Demon Princess. I was about to strike her again with my flames, but Theo came and stood in front of me.
"Celestia, that's enough," Theo said. "You have already defeated her, and you don't have to hurt her anymore."
"I don't need your pity," Lilin shouted and got up from the ground. "Come on, Celestia. Let us fight until one of us is alive."
"No, stop it," Theo shouted back at her. "I am not going to let you two fight. I love both of you, and I don't want to lose any one of you."
Lilin was surprised by Theo's statement, and so was I. Theo told me that he is in love with only me. How can he now say that he likes Lilin too?
"You still love me?" Lilin asked Theo.
"How can I not be in love with you? You introduced me to the dark side. Now I am able to control both the light and darkness because of you. Tell me, Lilin. How can I forget everything you did for me?"
My chest began to feel very heavy. I tried hard not to cry. I turned away from everyone and faced the barren red soiled lands.
"Silver Shadow, I still love you too," I heard Lilin reply. "If you still love me, then why did you leave me? Why are you with that blonde weakling?"
"I told you before about this, Lilin. Celestia and I are destined to be together. Or else I would have chosen you."
If Lilin had stabbed me with that spear, I would have felt less hurt than this. I wasn't able to resist my tears anymore. Is Theo stuck with me because of this stupid destiny?
I thought he loved me! Soon the pearls began to accumulate on the sand as my tears fell on them. Even when my father banished me away from the Celestial realm, I didn't feel hurt this much. This betrayal is brutal to take.
"Silver Shadow, I wish that you were mine," Lilin said. "I wish that you were destined to me instead."
"I wish that too, Lilin. But the fates are very cruel to us," Theo said in a gloomy tone.
I can't take it anymore. I want to sink in this red sand and disappear forever.
"Silver Shadow, My mom has forbidden me from falling in love with you again. I am sorry. Even if I am in love with you, I can't reciprocate the feelings," Lilin announced.
After that, I felt the rush of wind again. I looked over my shoulder and saw Lilin disappearing in the black fumes. Even after she was gone, I wasn't able to stop crying.
Theo then turned to me and tried to catch my tears with his hand. But I moved away from him. "Don't come close to me again," I cried out. "I gave my heart and body to you, but you betray and humiliate me like this?"
"Celestia, please don't cry. You know that I can't take it when you get sad," he said. "Can you please stop crying now, for my sake?"
"You can stop acting now. I heard everything you said. You are still in love with the Demon princess, and you are stuck with me because of destiny?"
Theo shook his head and hugged me forcefully. " Celestia, my love. That was a lie. If I had not lied to her, then Lilin would not have left. Do you understand? That was one of my strategies to defeat my enemy. So can you please stop crying now? I die a little whenever you cry."
It took me a while to process what he said. It made sense. "So you said that all to manipulate Lilin?" I asked him again.
"Yes, my sweetness," Theo said and pecked my cheek. " You are the only one who owns my heart. Please don't forget that."
I stopped crying after that. "Please don't do something like this again," I pleaded with him.
"Always remember this, Celestia. I will never do anything to hurt you," Theo declared.
