The island was not large, and the group's grand procession moved forward swiftly, soon encountering several enormous stone statues scattered haphazardly across the island as if they were decorative embellishments.
These statues were carved from single blocks of rock, their style indescribable; some had disproportionately large heads and small bodies, others had large bodies and small heads with a prominently large nose, yet fundamentally they were humanoid, albeit with odd proportions.
Because they were leading a large number of livestock, the team's pace was slow, taking about two hours to travel a distance of a dozen or so kilometers to reach a valley in the central part of the island.
The valley was small, and within it, there were also stone statues. Upon counting, there were a total of twelve.
