Hailey's POV
I went to the kitchen and started preparing the food again. Ron brought all the raw items once again and Robert already left, I guess. To meet his girlfriend, I suppose. "Thank you, " I said to Ron as he brought me the items of the list, I gave him, and trust me here, it was a long list. I started cooking and made sure I don't burn anything this time. It is night and I am still cooking. Like for three hours straight and still there are 12-- no 13 dishes left. I was cooking when two arms wrapped around my waist. I was about to scream but the person shushed me. "It's me, Robert, " he said. Suddenly Max messaged me. It's the first time he has talked to me after that night. Which was yesterday.
Max: "Hey, are you free?"
I was not, so I didn't reply.
"W-What are you doing?" I asked Robert as I continued to stir the delicacy I was preparing. "Nothing much, " he said. "Turn around"
I slowly turned around. He smirked at me.
I hurt her wound even more by applying the Olive oil to it. She started crying by the pain.
She would know now. She shouldn't care. I will never fell from a trap again. Never, and that's a promise.
Hailey's POV
The burning sensations never left my back and I couldn't do anything. I couldn't sleep. I was wide awake when Robert entered the room. Fear built up in me itself seeing him. On the thought of him sleeping beside me. He slipped beside me in the bed and for the first time turned towards me. Otherwise, he always looked at the other side of the ceiling. I could feel his gaze on me for the longest time. My face was on another side as I laid on my stomach. "Hailey" his voice came but I didn't reply. I won't... I will act like I am sleeping. I'm not in a mood to talk. "What do you like about Max this much?" his words made me totally confused. Not. Again.
