Alaric POV

That was simultaneously the worst and best idea I’ve ever had. Now, even if the council forbids the marriage, it’s too late for them to reject Raven as my mate. I have marked her, there’s no going back now.

Thinking about what I just did makes the blood flow instantly to my groin. I have no idea how I’m going to keep my hands off her until the wedding. It’s only one more day, technically, but it’s going to be the longest 24 hours of my life.

She’s finally mine. Nothing and no one will keep us apart.

Now I have to figure out how to break the news to the council members gently. I head to my office for a stiff drink and maybe a little release to take some of the pressure off. As I wind through the throng of people getting things ready for the wedding, I remember to let Maryann know about the dinner for tomorrow night.
