Much to my dismay, the morning sun shines brightly in my eyes and forces me awake. I groan and roll over, trying to fall back to sleep. After my long day and last night's excitement, I was out like a light after Rick left. Yet I still feel as though I could sleep the rest of the day away. I doze for a little while longer and daydream about the best bubble bath I’ve ever had. Then a knock on the door interrupts me with a second wake up call.
I throw on my robe and open the door to find Carl smiling at me. I smile back, my surliness at being interrupted dissolved when I see his happy demeanor.
“Sorry to wake you, Ms. Raven, but you have some visitors,” he informs me.
“Visitors?” I ask him with a confused expression.
“Pack members. They want to know if you can help them like you helped that little boy last night,” he replies.
“The Alpha doesn’t mind?” I ask.
