Serenity and Levi had slowly started to swim down as soon as the Carcinus Queen had scuttled away from the body of the former king. When it moved away a little further, they picked up the pace enough not to be crushed when she moved backwards.
As sand covered them from the crab kicking it up, Serenity swam lower while keeping a hold of Levi's arm. She didn't want to lose him in the cloud, and couldn't see the Carcinus moving. All that was present in her mind was when the damn thing's screaming was going to stop.
Levi didn't like the noise, but it wasn't affecting him as badly as Serenity. He could still sense the movements in the water, but it wasn't the Carcinus in front of him that he was worried about..
Sorry for the late publication, it’s been a rough few days. I have been plagiarized on Amazon, and it’s not an easy process to get the volumes taken down. She’s selling my free chapters, and I am furious. Still waiting on my editors to get back to me with the information I need. Plus I found out that my cat of 18 years has to be put down. Again, I apologize for the late publication, and thank you for your patience.
