'Now the question is...what's the relation between my circumstances and this game?'
Lai Jiayi decided to ask. The girl opened her mouth slightly and said,
"So you mention my circumstances before...I suppose this game might be able to help me overcome my problem, right?"
The AI heard Lai Jiayi's question, and his eyes shone brightly. "That is right! you are so smart, quack!" He's too excited that he forgot not to use 'quack' anymore.
Lai Jiayi had the urge to scold the AI but thinking again...she shouldn't. She needed more information about this shady game.
The girl took a deep breath and asked again, "So how can the game help me?"
Her tone of voice was so serious, coupled with her flat expression making the AI gulped nervously.
The AI spoke in a low voice as if what he said was a secret, "The game...can grant you three wishes. Material wishes, quack."
The way he spoke sent goosebumps to Lai Jiayi.
"Three material wishes? Any wishes? Just for winning a game??"
"Yes, quack!" The AI nodded.
'Doesn't this sound too good to be true?? What is this offer, Genie of the lamp??'
"...how can I believe what you said?" Lai Jiayi questioned again.
'This offer looks good as I need money, but how can I trust this AI so easily? I need proof!'
Being asked, the AI immediately blinked his eyes twice and showed another projection in the form of a hologram.
The AI showed Lai Jiayi several photos of young girls. "Look at this, quack. Do you recognize these girls, quack?"
When Lai Jiayi saw the photos, her eyes narrowed. All of the girls shown were pretty, super pretty as if they're a famous celebrity but.
'These people...I saw them in magazines or news…'
"They are girls who are lucky enough to catch big shoot' hearts and marry them, right?" Lai Jiayi asked the AI to confirm her guess.
'These few girls are all titled 'Girl of the century' as they somehow climb the social ladder and become a true winner of society.'
They came from an ordinary background but suddenly they could marry a big shoot.
Not to mention the big shoots they married were all young, handsome, and capable!
From an artist, idol, army general, head police, famous doctor, best actor, supermodel, an international designer and so on…
Lai Jiayi squinted her eyes again, and she suddenly had an idea why the AI showed her this.
'Don't tell me….'
"They...are an ex-player of this game?" the girl cautiously asked.
There's no other explanation for them to get their wishes granted. They married famous people, got a lot of money and such!
"Yes, quack! They are all past winners of this game, quack~ Just look at them, quack. They live the life of a queen once they win this game, quack!"
The AI puffed his flat chest in arrogance as he explained things.
"Don't you think it's weird for them to suddenly climb the social ladder even when they're ordinary, quack?" he said.
"...." Lai Jiayi went silent. What the AI said was absolutely logical.
'How can these girls be so lucky? If it's only one girl, I can say it's based on luck, but when more than 5 girls have the same luck…'
Lai Jiayi sucked in cold air.
'So the game is actually a real deal! But why the hell does the company game make something as absurd as this? It won't benefit them at all…'
Seeing Lai Jiayi went silent, the AI thought that she must be considering things.
'She looked like she believes me now, so...let's hit while the iron is still hot!'
"Now you know this...Ms. Lai, are you willing to play the game?" The AI suddenly spoke in a serious tone, not using QUACK anymore.
"Huh?" The girl tilted her head in confusion. "What are you– "
"If you win, you'll be granted three material wishes— be it money, house, cars, anything,"
The AI looked at Lai Jiayi in dead-pan serious eyes.
"But, if you lose...you will lose your most precious thing. It could be a person too. Now, will you play?"
The way he spoke was really like that of a devil trying to make a soul contract with a human.
Play a dating sim game. Win it. Get three material wishes granted. It really sounded like an offer from a devil, but...if it could save father…
'Isn't it worth it no matter what the price I have to pay?'
But the game won't be easy for sure looking at the super-good-to-be-true prize!
