Pretty sure the author dropped this novel. I was disappointed the closer that I was getting to the final updates, which were made 8 months ago.
I'm lost. The writing quality isn't great and it's sometimes very difficult to understand the author. The power system is one thing at the start and then a new power system in introduced. I still don't know if it's the same as the old one. I just feel that the author got an idea and went with it. The MC is too powerful too easily. It's like every other system story where the story is all about the MC collecting techniques, treasures and power up with the system help without effort from him. The battles aren't interesting because the MC are always more powerful than his opponents. The story is always like that, something can only happen when the MC is capable of resolving it with the snap of a finger. Forget about struggling. All in all, it's just a system story like all the other ones where it's all about "look at my awesome system" instead of a real story in which the MC has a system as suppory.
i think the author changed .. after few chapters ... they story and everything good about it died and went into a very weird and stupid direction ... i dont know what can one enjoy in this book after first few chapters.. the system takes backplace.. no proper goals for the mc.. no good side characters.. no comedy.. no powertrips.. no female intriguing characters ... no villans ... just stupid mystery and ridiculous plotlines with bland lines... from 200-400 chapters i dont know what i was reading .. the book can go in any direction .. .like multiple authors juggling this book and wondering how stupid people are and can keep up with their nonsense .. even cheap novels have few enjoyable moments either be comedy / powertrips / fanservice.. the first book i am dropping ..please bring back the author who wrote the forst chapters
The story is ok at the first 150+ chapters, but as the story progress it is getting annoying and so much plot twist and all, it is just making the storyline chaotic and uninteresting. Basically the story is going downhill.
I've read upto 200s chp. it's quite good but mc going here and there, never check up on his family except calling on phone and instead of teaching cultivation method to his family members and bring the overall power of his power to a whole level he become the unnecessary saviour and govt. dog it's quite good but that whole thing kill the mood to read it after he even doesn't know his family descendant is replace by someone I expect something good but sorry I'll drop this from my library. .. .. .. .. . .. . .. that's just my suggest but if you're compare to today's Chinese novel this one's is on the whole level. .. . ... .i thinks it's just not my style I think. .

Boring, generic writing style with a psuedo-smart MC propped up by generically stupid enemies that give away free benefits while being generally incompetent. MC plot armor and power potential stupidly high, most problems are either too easy for him to solve or are actually just free power ups that solve themselves with no tension or thought put into them.

Honestly I was so interested in this novel, I liked the direction it was going to at the beginning (making his family no. 1 and all that and the system also reminded him to take his family along when he ascends) but around the 160 chapter mark, I got lost! especially when till then he hasn't even given his family the marrow washing pill, I mean, how do else to make the family stronger huh?! then I just lost it all when he made some girl his disciple and even gave her the immortal cultivation techniques! like how?! what about your FAMILY?! shouldn't they take priority? even if not the grandkids, what about his sons and their wives? idk if it'll later happen along the line, but I'm tired of reading cuz a lot of things doesn't make sense anymore. it should have been fun after the invasion of the abyssal demons, but the author lost me. *sigh~*

This is honestly just my personal opinion. I enjoyed the first 150 or so chapters, but the further it went the more conflicted the story felt. where I've left off there are alot of holes and confusing/conflicting concepts starting to go through the blender and it simply killed my interest in the story. Don't get me wrong I'm all for other worlds and magic/cultivation type things, i just feel like it was overstuffed, leaving a lot of loose ends that are essentially kicked out/cut by way of a time skip. the confusion then continues on from there with alternate dimensions as well as other worlds, not to mention the whole "this is all a book/novel come to life", so along with confusion we also now have multiple main characters. so to sum up my opinion it had a pretty great start, but, the overall story afterwords just kinda went nuts in a confusing and un-enjoyable way (for me). I still advise others to give it a look at the very least but im out. stopped at ch.340

WRITING QUALITY: Errors are quite common, for example missing words or wrong letters. STORY DEVELOPMENT: As far as I've read the plot hasn't progressed much and the author has spent way too much time trying to be funny instead of focusing on the plot, that is a bit biased towards face slapping. The story also seems to be using what some people would hate and call "plagiarism" in another world to progress the story. There is also a bit of mystery that some people seem to dislike and think it to be unnecessary. CHARACTER DESIGN: Was expecting an mc with a calm, somewhat stereotyped old person character, but instead, what I've seen is a generic mc who just happened to start cultivating late. Other characters that have been shown so far lack depth or are just made stupid for "comedy". UPDATING STABILITY: Can't really say as I've not read it for that long but it seems to be okay. WORLD BACKGROUND: For the few chapters (34) that I've read, I think the world background is not bad, could be better, but that would probably make the story too much like an "info dump" as some would say.
Don’t waste your time, this only has 5 stars due to the bot spam. Synopsis was the best part of the novel. first 30 chapters were decent before immediately dropping to illegible garbage.

This had potentially to be a pretty interesting novel with a unique idea. Unfortunately, it's been completely ruined by poor grammar, poor dialogue and poor everything, only thing good was the concept. First of all, this author has attempted to copy dialogue from all the chinese novels out there. They've failed badly; it's clear the author has never even had a proper conversation with a fellow human being. The grammar is awful, the interactions are just awkward and they try so hard to sound profound but the author doesn't know what they're typing so it just sounds stupid. The author has tried to make the MC talk like how an elder in let's say a cultivation novel talks, sounding profound and all except it doesn't here, it just sounds stupid because it makes no sense and it's filled with bad grammar. Even without the grammar issues, the phrases don't flow well anyways so it doesn't matter. It's obvious the author spent a bit of time looking over the first chapter and then started speedrunning through the rest without proofreading or editing.
Still waiting to see where this one is going. I can tell if the mc exists in a novel or a real world. Anyhoo, the characters are not the usual face-slapped one dimensional single-cell brain dead characters that we 'adore' so much.
The writing is not bad and the beginning of the book is fun to read.[img=recommend] Sadly, as go go further with the chapters author cuts down the interaction with the old supporting characters. Which is like, fine, there are lot of bad examples of this. But in the beginning you can see the interaction between family members and then there is no such thing whatsoever. The grandpa didn't even tell the others in his family where he went, and now the visiting family members suddenly vanished because they are busy, even the kids. I get it, he is now a bit stronger, but with the apperance of spacial cracks, they should show some semblance of concern, no? I'm not talking about backstories of the guild master and his grandchildren. They are just piling up one on top of another. What do they know and what don't is a good question. Then there's the system taking it's sweet time to upgrade, which feels like eternety with a change of pace from the author. Is it even reasonable to hold a tournament on such a short notice? With the time it took on the road, you would think it would finish already, but no... I hope for a reasonable story development, but I don't have much ecpectations.

its sad the novel was good the idea was good then the usual happened with CN novels and went from 4.5 to 3.0 good until chapter 138 or so , then the author for some strange reason threw out of the window a good part of the plot and the worldbuilding he made so far, grandmaster strongest realm so far? nah scratch that, lets make them weak and completely forget about martial warriors, lets make this all about the ability users and forget about what we said before about martial grandmaster being the strongest, family? lets completely forget about them, who cares about them anyway im way too strong by now anyway and they can't catch up so puff and they're gone. then the author in some chapters remember what he said and try to patch it saying "well he was a mortal before...and he dindt truly know about the real strong people" etc, and well the family? lets pretend theyre gone we cant patch it up anyway.

I was incredibly interested the first few chapters but sooner than I would expect I found myself dropping this Novel. Too many silly developments, in more harsh words the Novel just felt stupid, after saying all that I really don't hate this it's just not for me at all.

I like good guy characters, the world is already full of so much negativity and while antiheroes are cool, I do feel that we need to strive to show as well as acknowledge human capacity For good instead of rewarding and spreading more negativity and human capacity For bad.

Time for a shameless review. Here, there will be some answers about the story. 1. Will there be a harem? Answer: No there won't be. 2. Will the MC get younger? Answer: Yes, he will get younger physically. You know, since he cultivates immortality, the stronger he gets, the younger(physically) he will be too. (Quasi-spoiler?) 3. Will it be updated regularly? Answer: Yes, it will be updated regularly. But sometimes, there may be a reduction. 4. Is his system annoying? Answer: No. His system is the silent type. Generally, it doesn't talk, it only gives out text. 5. Will the system force the MC to do something? Answer: No. It will at best put a mission. There may be penalties in the future, but fret not, those penalties won't threaten the MC's life nor his power. 6. How does the system work? Answer: This system won't force the MC to do anything as I said above. The only way the MC can get stronger is by cultivating strong people. But maybe there will be a slight change to it in the future. Btw, he also gets stronger by cultivating himself too. 7. Is the MC stupid? Answer: Lol, in almost all novels, MCs are not stupid. My MC is an old monster, therefore, he's not stupid. The side characters are not people who will come to provoke the MC straight out like a fool too. 8. Will there be face-slapping? Answer: There will be. But there won't be the generic face-slapping like you see in some novels where it was displayed once per 2/3 chapters. 9. How is the world background? Answer: With just the synopsis, genre, and tags, you can guess it yourself. 10. I was incredibly interested the first few chapters but sooner than I would expect I found myself dropping this Novel. Too many silly developments, in more harsh words the Novel just felt stupid, after saying all that I really don't hate this it's just not for me at all.

I like good guy characters, the world is already full of so much negativity and while antiheroes are cool, I do feel that we need to strive to show as well as acknowledge human capacity For good instead of rewarding and spreading more negativity and human capacity For bad.
