章節 33: CHAPTER XXXI

The two young men dart toward the kitchen. Together, they arrive at the kitchen room. The three girls are sitting on the floor. The door beside them is still open. Winter is holding her head. There is a dark liquid gushing out of her temple.

"What happened?" Josh approaches where they are sitting.

"Something happened," says one of Winter's friends. "We were performing the séance ritual. We were not finished, and suddenly the bowls we were using floated in the air. They moved wildly. One of them attacked Winter."

"That's what you get from doing this kind of thing." Josh looks at them sarcastically.

"You'd better get out of here." Aidan lowers his backpack and starts unpacking its contents. Josh does the same. Aidan grabs a few cans of salt and stows them in his jacket pocket, tucks a dagger into his back belt, then starts going down the stairs.

“You heard him, right? You need to get out of here," Josh repeats his friend as he follows him down the stairs.
