章節 68: Sucks to be me

My eyes slowly flutter open and again, I'm met with a pale white painted ceiling.

I slowly sit up from the bed and reach out to the glass of water on the bedside table. I drink to my satisfaction and drop the glass cup back on the table. 

"Are you alright?" I hear Nick's voice and I jump. 

Shit.

I really hate being startled everytime.

"Tired. No, drained." I say and he nods.

He moves away from the wall he was leaning on by the door and walks to me. He sits on the other side of the bed and stares at me.

"I'm sorry." He says after a moment. 

"What for?" I tilt my head to the left a little. 

"Bringing you into this mess."

I furrow my eyebrows together. 

Mess? What-.

Oh. This mess.

I had completely forgotten about what I went through some hours ago. But Nick just had to remind me didn't he?

"Who were they?" I asks in more of a whisper. 

"Matthias and Marty." He states.
