章節 65: Meeting someone important

"Hey I'm heading out with Nicholas." I say to Chloe when I walked to meet her by her car.

"He's taking you home?" She asks 

"We're hanging out." I say and she nods.

"Okay. Then I'll see you at home." She says and opens her car door.

"Bye." I wave at her and turn to walk to Nick's car. 

"So you ready?" He asks and I nod. 

Within minutes, we were on the road.

"So where are we going?" I ask him after a few minutes of driving.

"I want you to meet someone." He says.

"Who?" I ask and he gives me a small smile.

"Someone important." He mutters.

Okay?

"So how's your stay at home?" He asks after a while.

"Well, your dad bought me a new car."

"He did?" He asks surprised.

I nod. "He did." I repeat.

"I never expected him to do such."

"Nick?" 

"Hmm?" He doesn't take his eyes off the road.

"Why do you hate your dad?" I ask him.
