He had no time even to eat breakfast; he just took a bath to get rid of the sweat smell before immediately heading to the head office of TvN, a national television network that mainly produced variety shows and dramas. Unlike YBS, ABS, and NBS, TvN was a privately owned network.

The audition was very simple. The paper he was given contained only three dialogues and nothing else—no information about the character or the scene. Joon-won, who had five minutes, read through the lines a few times before considering various scenarios and mannerisms. He finally settled on the one he performed.
