One of the villains saw his friend floundering on the floor poisoned, but that didn't stop him from killing Kumar. He took out two swords and ran to confront Kumar.

Kumar lowered his head when the blade nearly slit his throat. His legs managed to kick the man's stomach until he backed away a little. Kumar elbowed him in the neck, and then his fist hit the man's face.

Kumar frowned in disgust when he saw that his hand had black stains off the person's face. They were all so black that their faces were smudged black with charcoal.

And then, he saw Tongka fighting a villain. He looked like he had been cornered. His back was pressing against the table while the villain was pressing the sword against his neck, and he held it in place with the wooden stick that Kumar used to pound medicine.
