"That's my stop." I almost shouted, Luca pulled over laughing lightly, "sorry about that. So, I'll pick you up at nine?." He asked hopefully.

"I'll text you when am available." I replied with a fake smile, and turned to leave. "D?." He called out.

"What?." I asked back, "you do have my number, right?." He asked dryly, wheels turned in my head, and a lightbulb sparked.

"Gimme your number, I'll call you." Luca said, we quickly exchanged numbers and he drove off happily. If only he knew how uninterested I was in dating him or anyone else for that matter.

My phone vibrated, my alarm went off, I got here just in time for my shift. Today, I felt a bit more tired than usual, but my work is important, so I suck it up and get changed.

Darla is behind the cash register today, "you're working his shift again?." I asked getting irritated with her.
