"Well, he knows just how fond of you I am and is using that to threaten me to not … step out of line." She sighed, looking at the vast nothingness all around them. 

"Though, like I said I didn't care. I was fine where I was and could not care less about him." Chuckling to herself, she looked at Kenj and took his hand in hers, a smile coming on her face. 

"You know, Ken, when I first heard about this marriage, I couldn't be bothered. My mother married anyone that could sweep her off her feet and, believe me, that was easy to do. 

"I don't believe I was even there on their wedding day." 

"I wasn't either," Kenj said, sitting next to her on the … floor? It is something like a floor since they are able to stand on it, so let's just call it a floor. "Not for the second half anyway. They needed me to show my face for the pictures then I snuck out."
