章節 318: Confusion

Reiner who was circling around waiting for an opening to strike Erika was confused. This was the first time in a long while he had put so much effort into something, he was puzzled at himself as to why he was doing this. 

Was he actually provoked by what Erika said to him, or did the passion of the people in the arena affect him?

'What is the point of all this? Why am I even doing this, trying so hard?' 

Reiner was so confused as to why he was even here, why he took the lance of Arseid. It was true that he now remembers the way of chivalry that his family stood for, even though the voices could no longer be heard he still wouldn't accept those teachings. 

'Why did I even pick up the lance in the first place?' 

In the midst of his confusion, Erika charged at him and he unconsciously dashed forward as well.
