"When are you going to let her go?" King Rian asked Dairon, who was sitting on the white couch in his chamber. He walked to the large window and drew the curtains, turning to observe the demigod. "She is trouble."
"She is not. And I'm not going to let her go." He answered indifferently. Without a doubt, he knew who King Rian was referring to.
"She is Blaze's daughter." King Rian reminded him.
"I know." Dairon shrugged.
"Blaze will wreck havoc if it means getting her back from you."
"He can try that."
King Rian sat down on the couch opposite Dairon and rubbed his scruff. "Aren't you the most stubborn? Marina is head over heels for you. Maybe it would be safer for you to give her a chance and settle down with her."
Dairon straightened up. "I was wondering why you really called me. This is about the water gods, isn't it? Did Dylan make you say this to me?"
