"I don't want to lose you." Dahlia wrapped her arms around Jasmine's body.
She kissed the girl's cheeks and held her tightly. "I don't want to lose you either. And you're not losing me." Finally hugging her sister, all the grief and confusion she had felt in the last few days seemed to fade away. If the end of it all was to be able to hug her sister, it was worth it.
"Will you stay?" Dahlia looked up, wiping her tears and smiling.
Jasmine hated to drop the bummer but she couldn't decide on her own. She didn't even know when she would be allowed to permanently return home, if that would ever happen. She could only caress her sister's hair. "I'm sorry, Dahlia. I'm only here to visit."
"Oh…" The girl sighed in disappointment. She had expected it. "This is why I don't want you to get married."
"Huh?" Jasmine was confused. What did this have to do with her getting married?
