Smiling after teasing her, Dairon had a taste of the chicken and nodded. "I was right. It tastes yummier than it looks."
She let off a small sigh of relief. It would be troublesome. If she had to start cooking all over again.
"Give me a minute." She bolted out of the dining room, knowing that he was going to ask her to sit and eat too. After taking off the apron and dusting all the flour off her, she let down her hair before going back to the dining room.
She ate in small bites, but she couldn't help sneaking a few peeks at him once in a while. Was it just her, or was he different?
He looked up and caught her staring. His facial features softened into a smile. "You are staring at me. What, do you have a crush on me?"
"What? Of course not!" She almost choked on her food, having been caught off guard.
"Oh, you don't? I'm a little disappointed, flower." He put a piece of meat in his mouth.
