Taro and Nick prepared two tents and put all the equipment they had brought into them, including sleeping bags and warm clothes in case they had to spend the night on top of the plateau. Meanwhile Jack and Mike grabbed shovels and picks and headed for the crevice where Aulric had stumbled over the sword point; once there they began to dig very carefully removing all the upper layer of earth to verify if there were more historical remains that could be related to the Grail.

Zhi and Chandice set out to scout the entire surface of El Fuerte's summit, also examining the terrain for signs of artificial, unnatural objects. Everyone's instrution was to try not to touch the pieces found without disposable gloves and to place them in polyethylene bags of various sizes that had been carried for this purpose.
