章節 70: A new burden

My hands were in my hair as I rested my head on the seat in a hospital waiting room. This time around I am not the patient but my mother is. 

 I never thought my first interaction with my mother will end with me in a hospital waiting for the doctor to tell me what is wrong with the woman who decided I was not worth her love and care, and decided to abandon me to the harsh reality of the street.

"Are you Miss Jackson's family?"

I raised my head and stared at the middle age doctor with confusion.

"Y-Yes."

"How is she?" I added.

"She is fine. She still yet to regain consciousness. She suffered a blow to the head which caused the concussion. Could be she bumped into something. Left her just a small wound. Nothing alarming"

I winced, must had bump her head into something accidentally due to her trembling I guess.

"There is another aligning issue. Who are you to her?" The doctor asked with lines creased on his face.
